Featured on Completely Unveiled!

We wrapped up last week with some exciting news...
We were featured on the Completely Unveiled Blog!
If you are not a fan of Weddings Unveiled then you should be!
The blog & magazine are full of great resources, information, and tons of inspiration!
Anne Bodnar Markey of Favor Me Events styled this Rustic Valentine inspiration shoot, and did an AMAZING job (as she always does!).
Anne is one of my favorite people to work with - she has creative and unique ideas,
and is a 'make it happen' lady. When I refer people to Favor Me Events I know they
will be well taken care of!
The OH-SO talented Tara Mauldin photographed the shoot. I love her style,
attention to detail, and is one of the sweetest people I've ever met!
Karen with Lily Greenthumb's did the floral arrangements.  Aren't they stunning!!?
I look for excuses to have parties, so Karen can provide the flowers ;)
Make sure you check out the blog.  Below are few photos from the shoot.

Why I LOVE paper.

Have you read any of the Five Love Languages books?
If not I would highly recommend them.  www.5lovelanguages.com
Basically the books talk about how we can show love to one another in specific ways.
I personally love when my husband leaves me a note next to the coffee pot in the morning, or when a friend mails me a 'thinking of you' card, and when I receive a small squishy package from my mom (the squishy part means there is something soft inside :)
The reason I am telling you this is because it explains my love for paper.
A note, card, or small package all of them are made of... you guessed it... paper!
Can I be honest for a minute?  I HATE email invitations.  I realize they are practical, free, and easy to use, but I feel they are impersonal and boring.  I want my guests, friends, and family to feel LOVED and SPECIAL when I mail them an invitation or card.
So there you have it.  Why I LOVE paper.

New Logo

What is a logo?  It is your brand.  Your identity.  Your presence.  It is the first thing people see when they go to your website, see your business card, or find you through an advertisement.  We want our identity to be welcoming, professional, and graceful.

How the logo came to be...

I am in love with the Pantone 5527 & 7527 color palette!
Sorry, plain english: grey-blue & grey-tan colors.  If you come to our home you would see lots of grey-blues!  They have a modern yet peaceful and inviting feel to them.

The first visual that came to my head when I thought about the logo was a rod-iron sign, something like you'd see in Charleston.  So I quickly sketched out that idea.  I also played around with using some script or modern fonts, but kept coming back to the sign idea.

This is where I ended up.  What do you think?

Meet Inspire.

We would like to introduce you to our new business, Inspire.
The business is based on three things:
• Inspire DESIGN.
• Inspire EACH OTHER.
• Inspire TO GIVE.
Over the next several weeks we will explain and elaborate on these three ideas.
But first we want to give you a glimpse of where these ideas originated from.
It all began with paper and pen (as many ideas do). I wrote down individual words,
quotes, thoughts, prayers, ideas, and questions.  Then I read them over and over again
(while writing more notes...) and pulled out the reoccurring ideas and the things that
were most important to me.  So there you have it.  Inspire was born!
We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months!  Stay tuned.
